Aryan Khan Drug Case: ‘Shah Rukh Khan’s Son Arrest Was Politically Motivated To Tarnish Actor’s Reputation’, Says Minnal Murali’s Tovino Thomas
Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, last year, made headlines after he was arrested in connection with the Mumbai cruise drugs case. He spent nearly a month in jail after his arrest following a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raid on a cruise ship party on October 2. Following his arrest, many have claimed that it was a politically motivated move. Now, Minnal Murali’s actor Tovino Thomas has expressed similar sentiments and asserted that Aryan’s arrest was 'politically motivated to tarnish SRK’s image in the public.'

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Tovino, on being asked about Aryan’s arrest, was quoted saying, “That was their purpose. That was the intention I think, from whatever we know now, there was a political intention to tarnish Shah Rukh Khan's reputation, his son's reputation, it looks like that. I'm not stating it but it looks like that.” Meanwhile, as per the latest media reports, NCB has failed to find any evidence of Aryan being involved in the conspiracy.  Reacting to this, Tovino added, "People will believe it was manipulated. That there was some kind of manipulation, which is why he is clear now. People like to think that.”

As per the Hindustan Times report, contrary to the allegations of NCB, some of the key findings of the SIT claimed that Aryan was “never in possession of drugs hence there was no need to take his phone and check his chats. His chats clearly suggested that he was not part of any international syndicate.

For the unversed, the 24-year-old Aryan was granted bail on October 28 and he walked out of jail on October 30 after spending sleepless nights for three weeks in prison. ALSO READ: Aryan Khan Drugs Case: Shah Rukh Khan To Take Legal Action Against NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede-Report
